Rental Agreement

Consent: 

You must be 18 years of age to place an order with Jovie. 

Returns:

Jovie currently only offers returns on items that are purchased, and we do not offer returns on rental products outside of the normal return we expect within the date you have chosen. 

We will accept your return on the purchased products within 7 days of receipt of the product. 

Commitment to Return Date:

 During your order placement, you will be asked to submit a date upon return. All Christmas rentals will need to be returned on or by January 10th.

Late fees: 

We understand that life gets in the way; however, you will be subject to late fees if your order is not sent the day you have committed to. Late fees are determined based on each product assortment so it will vary depending on what kit you have rented. See the full return policy here.

If you know ahead of time, that your kit may be late because of extenuating circumstances (ie: the event date has changed to a later date), please reach out to Hello@shopjovie.com, so that we can try and accommodate your extended rental needs.

Damages:

We understand that kids, pets, and mistakes happen (especially during holidays and big events), so we will accept up to $50 in retail value of damages. Every damage beyond $50 will be an additional charge and will be of the total retail value of each item. 

Cancellations:

We allow cancellations to be made within 24 hours of renting/purchasing.

Order Processing:

At Jovie, we strive to reach the highest level of satisfaction, so we have committed to ensuring that each order is processed within 24 hours, and if there are any questions about your order, we will reach out within that period. 

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Paypal, and we use secure processing platforms.

Shipping:

Jovie offers free shipping for all orders over $100. All orders under $100 will be charged the applicable shipping rate by our shipping provider.

We also require a signature confirmation as our boxes can be very large, and we want to secure the safety of your kit. If you will not be home to receive and sign for your package, we encourage you to ship to an address that you can easily sign, like your workplace.

Jovie ships product from the West Coast, so shipping times may vary. If you need expedited shipping to ensure your package is delivered by a certain date, please choose an option outside of the standard free shipping to accommodate your needs. 

Currently, at this time, we do not ship internationally.

Timing: Christmas kits will be shipped no earlier than November 1st, 2019 to ensure all product is in stock. 

Return Policy:

Your selected return date will be listed on your packing slip.

We will accept your return on the purchased product within 7 days of receipt of the product. 

Missing kit:

Anything can happen with deliveries, which is why we require a signature upon delivery. If your package does not make it to you on the day it is supposed to, please contact FedEx with your tracking number to pinpoint the exact package and new delivery time. If your package somehow remains missing and does not get delivered, please file a claim with FedEx, forward the claim to us, and we will gladly refund your entire purchase. 

Late Returns:

A charge of $11 a day will be applied to your account for each day the return label has not been scanned in by UPS. Once the label has been scanned, and we see that the return has been initiated, we will not charge any further late fees.

Please note that we will charge once per week for total weekly late fees.

After 30 days of the kit not being returned and the late fees accrued, the kit will have reached its’ retail cost and will be yours to own. 

Rental Product you want to keep:

When you initiate your return, there will be the following 3 options. 

  1. Return the whole kit
  2. Keep the whole kit
  3. Return some, keep some

Here is how each scenario will work:

Return the whole kit: 

Initiate your return, select the ‘return complete kit’ option, and a shipping label will be generated for you. Schedule a pickup with UPS or drop off at your nearest location.

Keep the whole kit:

Initiate your return, select the ‘keep complete kit’ option, the difference in the rental cost from the retail cost will be added to your cart. Check out and the kit is yours!

Return some, keep some:

Initiate your return, select the items you want to keep from your kit. (Most items will be in sets. For example, the snowmen set of 3 can only be purchased in a set of 3 and not individually.)

Your selected items will be added to your cart. Now you can complete checkout, and your shipping label will be generated for the items you don’t want to keep. 

The additional charges for any items being kept are based on the difference between the rental cost that has already been paid and the retail cost.  

Damage Policy:

Damages upon receiving:

We use extensive wrapping methods and double-paned boxes to help prevent damages during the shipping process: however, sometimes there may be accidents out of our control while traveling to your home. 

If you find that upon receiving that any items are damaged, we ask that you fill out a damage form here. Please include detailed photos of each item and ensure they are clear and labeled.

We will do our best to replace each item so that you can enjoy your complete kit. Please note, that there may be some times where we may not be able to replace items if our inventory has been fully rented. 

Damages after receipt:

When you initiate your return process, you will be able to indicate whether an item was damaged and not returnable. Follow the instructions through the return process.
